Overview
West12 shopping and leisure centre is 291,900 sq ft with 38 retail and seven leisure units, a cinema and a gym in Shepherds Bush, London W12.
Landsec is will apply for a new planning permission in 2019. The 3-acre site will soon be redeveloped. The scheme includes 700 homes. It is adjacent to Central and Overground lines and numerous bus routes. Earliest start on site late 2021.
History
Upon completion in 2012, the development was anchored by Morrisons (moved out 2016).
Foxtons and Esquires Coffee joined the scheme in 2012 and were situated in the line of shops on the ‘Green' which included Cycle Surgery, Headmasters, Carphone Warehouse, Argos, HSBC, Bagel Bite and ‘Jumbucks', an Australian specialist product store. Foxtons took one of the largest units covering 3,500 sq ft and Esquires Coffee was in a 2,000 sq ft unit. The building included a 12-screen Vue Cinema and Fitness First.
2017 February - Lidl opens.
The empty concrete 1960s building formerly known as Atlantic House at the edge of the West 12 shopping centre (1-3 Rockley Road), opposite Shepherds Bush Green, is a 128-room Ibis hotel. It was opened in summer in time for the 2012 London Olympics.
