Description
Kingsgate House was granted planning permission by the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea in August 2011.
The residential development is located on the King's Road in West London. It comprises 43 affordable residential units over seven storeys with associated access and landscaping, and forms part of the off-site affordable housing for the redevelopment of De Vere Gardens, also in Kensington, West London.
The design of the cladding is light and delicate, balancing vertically within its horizontal form and thus respecting the elegant 19th century housing estates located on the King's Road. Integrated photovoltaic solar louvres and vertical glass shutters contribute to the credible energy sustainability strategy which will deliver a Code for Sustainable Home Level 4 rating.
