Easter House
Key Details
Overview
Easter House is an apartment building in Bermondsey, London SE16.
Designed by Grayling Thomas architects, the building has a single accommodation staircase and a lift up to the nine apartments. The ground floor apartments are designed on two levels to negate the flood risk to bedrooms. All of the apartments are designed to Code 4, for sustainable homes and are extremely energy efficient and airtight.
The penthouse is the pinnacle of the project, with 360 degree, panoramic views of London, both from the penthouse itself and its own private, grassed roof terrace.
The brickwork to the building is offset with timber boarding to the balcony terraces, which also incorporate slatted, privacy screens to the adjoining neighbours.
The site straddles the Metropolitan line underground and the engineering solution involves GPS precision pile foundations.
