Overview
The Paragon is a residential development on a 1.65ha site in Brentford, Hounslow TW8.
Paragon comprises eight blocks that reached practical completion 2006. The development comprises six blocks of residential and student accommodation, plus two commercial buildings that are not owned by Notting Hill Genesis group.
The six blocks consist of:
Block A - a five-storey building consisting of 41 units of intermediate market rent.
Block B – three interconnected buildings of four, five and nine storeys with 107 shared ownership leasehold units and 72 intermediate rent.
Blocks C, D, E and F - 17, 12, 12 and five-storeys respectively, hold a combined 839 units of student accommodation which is occupied by students nominated by the University of West London.
The development by Berkeley First consists of 6 blocks designed by Carey Jones Architects.
Developed for Presentation Housing Association Limited and Touareg Trust, which was originally a subsidiary of Presentation Housing, by Berkeley First Limited. Presentation transferred its engagements to Notting Hill Housing Trust in 2009.
The Paragon tower was the tallest modular development in the UK at the time of completion.

History
2020 October - Notting Hill Genesis commences safety review of the buildings. The freeholds of Blocks C through F are owned by Touareg Trust, which is a registered charity and is a subsidiary of Notting Hill Genesis. Blocks A and B are owned by Notting Hill Genesis. Notting Hill Home Ownership Limited, a not-for-profit subsidiary of Notting Hill Genesis, holds a long leasehold interest at Block B where the shared ownership homes are located.
2003 October - Planning application submitted for: Demolition of No's 49-55 Boston Manor Road and erection of 12,049m² of D1 education floor space, 849 student study rooms and ancillary accommodation, 221 key worker flats and A1/A3 floor space totalling 304m², car parking, pedestrian and vehicle access, landscaping and associated works. Revisions: The scheme has been reduced and altered in height and massing as follows: The block nearest to the school has changed from one continuous building stepping down from 18, 16, 14 to 12 residential storeys, to 2 separate blocks of 12 residential storeys. ·The linked block adjacent to the school access road is 17 residential storeys and the academic block next to the M4 and Boston Manor Road has risen from 7 commercial/academic storeys to 12 commercial/academic storeys over a smaller footprint. The key worker block has been moved away from the boundary with the trading estate and has a height of 4 residential storeys rising to 8 residential storeys adjacent to the school access road. Other amendments include: The number of student flats has reduced from 998 to 849, the number of key worker flats has reduced from 232 to 221, the number of parking spaces has increased to 111.
