The Audley
Key Details
Overview
The Audley development at 34 South Audley Street and 41-42 Mount Street in Mayfair, London W1.
Artfarm has transformed the building into an entertainment venue where nothing is as expected. The pub on the ground floor is retained, and there will be a dining room/restaurant on the first floor and various types of rooms on the upper floors.
Spread over five floors, The Audley will offer its guests three distinct experiences:
1. The Audley Public House, a traditional community pub, will sit at street level. 2. The first floor will become Mount St. Restaurant, a new destination on the London culinary scene, which then leads to the top three floors housing four beautifully designed spaces, each with its own story and available for private hire.
3. Art is at the heart of the project, with The Audley acting as a showcase for extraordinary and important works alongside specially commissioned site-specific art interventions created by Hauser & Wirth’s roster of globally celebrated artists.
Central to The Audley experience is an exceptional art collection that Artfarm will curate to celebrate London’s reputation as a global art capital. Art is found on every floor of the building and be accessible for all visitors to appreciate and enjoy.
Paris-based Luis Laplace is the lead architect behind the restoration and new concept of The Audley.
The food at The Audley will be overseen by British Chef Jamie Shears who has worked with Gordon Ramsay, Chris Galvin, Jason Atherton and was most recently executive chef at CUT, London - Wolfgang Puck’s restaurant at 45 Park Lane.
The Audley Public House and Hotel was originally built in 1888-89 by Thomas Verity. The 5-storey building is Grade II-listed and is located within the Mayfair Conservation Area.
The shell and core works completed in Summer 2021 in Phase 1 is managed by landlord Grosvenor and is carried out by Grangewood. The fit-out is managed by Artform and the opening is expected in 2022.
