New Mansion Square
Key Details
Overview
New Mansion Square is the affordable homes element within the Battersea Power Station development in Battersea, London SW8.
Affordable Housing
386 one to four-bedroom homes will be available to buy and rent through Peabody. The new one to four-bedroom, dual aspect homes will be a mixture of London Affordable Rent and shared ownership, all with private outdoor space – balconies, terraces, access to private residents’ gardens.
The development includes a new NHS medical centre and 10,000 sq ft central garden square with children's play area, outdoor fitness spaces and hard surface areas for pop up events.
Designed by architects Patel Taylor, the affordable homes comprise 7 buildings of up to 18-storeys in height, arranged around a garden square. Tweed, Arden and Foots Row Mansions have been named after lost streets first built in the 1870s as Battersea underwent a period of rapid industrial growth.
