Overview

Herringham Quarter at Charlton Riverside is a mixed-use development on the banks of the River Thames within the Royal Borough of Greenwich in London SE7.

Hyde Group is building 1,212 new homes, with 40% of them being affordable.

The first phase, Herringham Quarter, comprises 718 high quality and energy-efficient new homes, as well as commercial units at Herringham Road and New Lydenburg Street with completions expected in 2026. 263 of the homes in the first phase will be set at London Affordable Rent rates for local people on the housing waiting list who need a home of their own. 133 will be for Shared Ownership and 322 for private sale.

Outline permission has been granted for a further 494 homes to be delivered in a future phase.

The development will be supported by new schools and facilities. New bus services, improvements to Charlton Station and Woolwich Road will help to integrate new development with the rest of Charlton.

The industrial site of Charlton Riverside will have a series of new neighbourhoods, integrating residential development with modern industrial, office and creative employment opportunities.
