Woodberry Down is a residential development from Berkeley in London N4.

Woodberry Down is an innovative Regeneration Project which will feature over 5,500 new homes set in 64 acres adjacent to the spectacular natural surroundings of two existing reservoirs and Finsbury Park, all within a short distance of Central London and the City.

Location

Woodberry Down is one of Europe’s biggest single-site estate regeneration projects and is led by a partnership of Hackney Council, Berkeley Homes, Notting Hill Genesis, Woodberry Down Community Organisation and the Manor House Development Trust.



Timeline
2035 - Final phase at Woodberry Down expected to complete.
- The Westacre launch 20 February 2020. Completions Q1 2022.
- Willowbrook House launch Early 2019. Completions Q2 2021 - Q4 2021.
- Hartingtons launch 16th September 2017. Completions Q2 2020-Q1 2021.
- The Nature Collection launched 23rd and 24th April 2016. Completion Q1 2019.

The development will complete in phases. First completions in The Park Collection from Q3 2018.

History

2016 - The Woodberry Wetlands are opened to the public for the first time in 200 years.
2015 - The 1,000th home is built.
2009 - Berkeley Homes start building at Woodberry Down and the first home is sold.
1948 - The first of the new tenants move into the vast estate being built. Much of the area continues to be redeveloped until the 1970s.
1932 - Manor House Underground station is built, with nine entrances and two
tram stations. The transport links pave the way for a 1936 London County Council report that says the area is suitable ‘ for housing and use in the relief of over-crowding.’ This is the
origin of Woodberry Down.
1832 - Two reservoirs are dug – the East and West reservoirs of today – to purify the New River.
