Union Wharf
Key Details
Overview
Union Wharf is a BTR residential development comprising two towers in Deptford, London SE10.
The development includes a building designed specifically for families, which is the first of its kind in UK, with features including:
- An onsite nursery
- Additional acoustic insulation
- Extra wide corridors to assist pushchair mobility
- Large storage areas
- Balconies designed to enhance child safety
- Large utility cupboards to accommodate a separate washing machine and dryer.
More than two-thirds of the site is covered by high quality landscaped public realm and child’s play space, including a new Creekside Walk and pocket park. Extensive intertidal terracing provides increased biodiversity and a thriving Creekside ecosystem, adding to the vibrant and newly activated Creekside edge.
A quarter of the units were offered at a discounted market rent, with affordable homes distributed throughout the development creating a truly tenure blind scheme. All tenants will have access to the same specification of apartments, amenities and share the same entrances, creating a balanced and sustainable community.
Over 1,400m2 of shared amenity space is provided including exercise areas, cinemas, communal lounges and kitchens, workshop space for school projects or DIY, and barbecues, pizza ovens and rooftop allotments provided on the external terraces.
Deptford town centre is just to the west of the site.
