Overview
High Path is a residential-led mixed-use development in South Wimbledon, London SW19.
High Path is part of the £1bn Merton Regeneration Project creating 2,800 homes replacing 1,000 existing homes and building 1,800 new homes.
Clarion Housing Group will create homes on land previously used for garages and the ‘Old Lamp Works’ site.
History
2020 Winter - The first major milestone has been reached with
the completion of the concrete frame for all blocks of flats. The brickwork on the mews houses along Rodney Place is complete
2019 - Consent granted by Merton Council. Clarion Housing Group, the UK’s largest affordable housing provider, will deliver 113 new apartments and houses in this phase of the High Path development, of which 82 per cent will be for social rent. The remainder will be set aside as replacement homes for existing resident homeowners. The plans also include more than 180 sqm of ‘flexible’ non-residential space, which will bring new amenity and employment space to the area, such as shops, cafés, offices or crèches.
2019 - Work is underway on 21 new homes on the disused garages site at Ravensbury and 134 homes on land not currently used for housing at High Path.
2018 - Clarion was granted outlining planning permission to deliver new 2,800 homes, including 740 social rented units, and up to 9,000m² of commercial and community space across High Path, Eastfields and Ravensbury neighbourhoods.
2017 - Work on phase 1 starts. The first phase comprises 134 units.
