Overview

The former Royal Mail sorting office on St Georges Road was converted into developer Godfrey’s new headquarters.

Four new luxury apartments within the top floor of its new £15 million (GDV) 18,000 sqft commercial development on the site of the former Royal Mail sorting office on St George’s Road in London’s Temple Fortune.
 
Replacing a disused red-brick Royal Mail sorting office building, the new headquarters building is designed by leading architectural firm TDO Architects, with the architecture of the new three-story commercial building on St George’s Road referencing the Royal Mail building and providing a fusion of Edwardian and contemporary influences with a striking brick main façade and side wing, with brick pier detailing, linear brick courses around the large picture windows, and feature brickwork to the parapet, surmounted by a grey slate dormer roof lined with windows.
 
The building has two dedicated entrances, one pedestrian and the other vehicular, the new building provides stylish accommodation over lower ground, ground and two upper floors.
 
Godfrey London has taken the first floor of the mixed-use building – 4,000 sqft of space - for its new London headquarters, with the ground floor offering another 4,000 sqft of prestige office space now available to let.
 
The planning consent allows for the top floor of the building to be converted to provide four premium apartments. The four will consist of three two-bedroom apartments and a generous one-bedroom apartment.
