Battersea Underground Station development in Battersea, London SW8.
The station opens onto Battersea Park Road. It is the first of two station entrances for this stop at Battersea, with a western entrance at the southern end of the new High Street on The Electric Boulevard.
A tunnel under Battersea Park Road will also link the new tube station directly to Stewarts Road.
History
This is Wandsworth’s first new tube station to open for 95 years. The new tube link was funded entirely by the area’s private sector developers.
The new tube station opened on 20th September 2021.
2017 December - The designs by Grimshaw and Partners are accepted by Wandsworth Council’s planning committee. Wandsworth Planning Application Application ref. no. 2017/4274.
