Overview

Antony & Roderick is a proposed development in Bermondsey, London SE16.

An innovative combination of rooftop extension and infill development will create 30 new additional homes above, in between and at the ‘bookends’ of a pair of four-storey existing 1950s flat blocks.

The scheme is 100% affordable. All the existing flats will be retained with residents in situ.

2021 January - Work started on site.

2020 November - Planning permission was granted for the development on 13th November 2020

2020 October - Plans for the rooftop extension and infill development designed by HTA are approved.

2018 December - Planning application submitted for: Construction of two 5-storey extensions at the end of Roderick and Anthony House. The erection of a two storey roof extension above both Anthony and Roderick House creating two 6-storey blocks together with the infilling of the existing central gap with a 5-storey building linking the two blocks over every floor, to create an additional 31 new dwellings (12 x Studio. 6 x 1 bed and 13 x 2 bed). The proposal would also provide a new central lift core and enhanced landscaping and associated ancillary works. Southwark Council Ref. no. 18/AP/4195.
