The progress report of the refurbishment works in July 2017 at
Great Hall -
Structural work continued in the South Vestibule and existing basement. Mechanical and electrical services installation continued in all levels, including ground source heat pump pipework within the existing plant room area.
Replacement timber wall-panelling has been installed where necessary. Water proofing and dry lining of walls in the basement continues. Construction of the lift pit for the new goods-in lift has progressed and, lifting of stone on the southern terrace is nearly complete.
