The final phase at Riverside Quarter is progressing quickly, reports architect CJCT.

The basements are almost complete and construction on the ground floor slab has begun. As the work progresses the props supporting the secant wall to the River Thames and River Wandel are gradually being removed.

Nine Riverside comprises an extension to the existing 2-storey basement and a 15-storey tower at the northern end of the site, which is the final gateway building announcing the arrival of the River Wandle joining the River Thames and the beginning of the Wandle walk.

The building is configured to provide a continuous active frontage at ground floor which offers a mix of public uses including a variety of commercial opportunities and a leisure facility with swimming pool and gym. The 172 residential units will be a combination of private and shared ownership accommodation, comprising of high quality studio, one, two and three bedroom apartments.

The project is expected to complete at the beginning of 2020.
