Royal Mint Gardens

Good progress has been made at Royal Mint Gardens. With the excavation works in the arches complete, the ground works are 75% finished and the installation of the first lift/stair core well underway (block D eastern end). The next quarter should see all the lift/stair cores installed courtesy of a series of 24hr work packages. All steel trusses lifted into place and secured over the encapsulation. Ground works will be concluded with all arches refurbished including wall and ceiling lining’s where appropriate. Some of the initial central heating plant (CHP) will be delivered and installed. By the end of May, the contractors aim to have the super structure /concrete frame up to first floor level – the rest of the main structure will then go up rapidly.
