RLF has been appointed as Principal Designer on the Alton Estate project.
The project comprises the demolition of 288 homes, non-residential facilities and associated structures followed by the erection of a residential-led mixed use development. This comprises around 1,109 new and replacement homes, including circa 256 affordable homes in a range of tenures and the refurbishment of 29 Grade II listed bungalows providing sheltered housing.
The ca 8,600m2 of new and replacement non-residential floor space (including but not limited to Use Classes A1-A4, B1, D1 and D2), together with associated car parking, alterations to estate roads, access provision, amenity space and landscaping.
