Enfield Council delegation, including the Cabinet Member for Social Housing, Councillor Gina Needs, and Executive Director of Place, Sarah Cary, were recently taken on a site tour of Elements, the £310m regeneration of the former Alma Estate in Ponders End, Enfield.
The delegation visited the marketing suite and the new youth centre, which is currently under construction. They visited one of the residents who had recently moved into their new apartment, having lived on the Alma Estate for over 30 years. The tour finished with a meet and greet of a number of residents at the local Oasis Academy Hadley school.
Following the start of construction in November 2017, 139 homes have now been completed, with the first residents having moved in to their new homes in March 2019. A redesigned Station Square has also been delivered, providing an inviting gateway into Ponders End.
