Digital marketing agency Jellyfish has grown into 28,330 sq ft at Shard, while an undisclosed FTSE 100 company expands to 23,037 sq ft.

Real Estate Management (UK) Limited (“REM”), on behalf of the building’s owners, has announced that Jellyfish – the renowned global digital marketing partner and an undisclosed FTSE 100-listed company – have expanded their footprints at The Shard for a second time by taking a combined additional 13,929 sq ft.

Jellyfish first took office space at The Shard, which houses its London headquarters, in 2016. It originally secured 9,017 sq ft on level 22, before taking a further 10,000 sq ft on level 28 just two years later. Now the agency has signed for another 9,313 sq ft on a six and a half year lease and will occupy the whole of level 22.

In a separate deal, a FTSE 100 company has secured an additional 4,616 sq ft on a six year lease.

Both Jellyfish and the FTSE 100 company join a significant number of office occupiers that have seen their business grow at The Shard, and have opted to take more space. Others include Duff & Phelps, MATCHESFASHION.COM, Warwick Business School and Foresight, demonstrating the attraction of The Shard and the wider London Bridge area to a wide range of businesses.

Michael Baker, CEO of REM said: “It is excellent to see both companies expanding their London headquarters within The Shard offices yet again. Shard Quarter has become a hub for digital and media businesses, with other major tenants including News Corporation and Sapphire Systems. These occupiers bring a special creative dynamic that help support the diversity of the community here. The ‘Shard Effect’ remains a powerful one that has no doubt contributed to the growth of many of our occupiers.”

REM was advised by JLL and Knight Frank; Jellyfish was represented by Cushman & Wakefield.
