St George has revealed plans to improve the public spaces surrounding the Grand Union development.

The routes to Stonebridge Park Station will see new trees, widened footpaths, new cycle lanes, additional seating, lights and planting.

The works will begin in August 2020, starting with the Old North Circular, where 27 new trees will be planted along with more than 4,000 shrubs.

In early 2021 Beresford Avenue will benefit from improved pedestrian priority, with footpath widths doubled, three new pedestrian crossings and more green space and trees added.

Steve Kirwan, Operations Director, St George West London said: "Brent, the 2020 London Borough of Culture, is one of the boroughs in London which prioritises pedestrians, with half its streets offering wide pavements and green spaces. We are pleased to be working with Brent Council to deliver sustainable green routes to Grand Union for use by residents and the local community. The new routes around Grand Union will improve the journey for pedestrians and cyclists and are central to the wider commitment of enhancing the local area to ensure that Alperton is an accessible, green neighbourhood for people to live, work and visit."

The Grand Union Marketing Suite is open by appointment only from Monday-Friday 10am-6pm and Saturday-Sunday 10am-5pm. Prices start from £425,000. For further details please visit www.grandunion.co.uk.
