The Sky Pool has been lifted into place at Embassy Gardens today by one of the largest mobile cranes in the world with a load capacity of 750 tonnes.

The 14-metre acrylic structure was shipped from Colorado to Galveston in Texas 1,000 miles on the road, before making its 3-week journey across the Atlantic Ocean, reaching its final home.

The 25-metre pool will be set at ten storeys high between two apartment buildings.

This world-first was developed by HAL Architects together with the award-winning Structural Engineers EckersleyO’Callaghan, and fabricated by world-leading acrylic fabricator Reynolds Polymer Technology, Inc.
