Imperial College London has selected GRAHAM as the preferred construction partner for the new School of Public Health SPH at the White City Campus.

The School of Public Health is being built to support leading research, education and community engagement in health and wellbeing. Designed by Allies and Morrison, the hub provides almost 58,000 sq ft over nine storeys. SPH will occupy the building up to level 7, which will include two floors of teaching space – with small study rooms, common space, and a large lecture area – and five floors of office space and meeting rooms for staff, basement plant space for changing facilities, and bike storage.

Ground floor level is a shared space with open-plan meeting areas. GRAHAM will fit out all levels of the building (with the exception of the top floor, which is shell and core only).

Professor Jonathan Weber, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Imperial College London commented: “The development of an innovative and interconnected School of Public Health at the College’s White City Campus will allow our researchers to pioneer approaches to society’s most pressing healthcare challenges. They will use the power of data and technology to gain insight into some of the most complex issues in population health and develop evidence-based solutions to major public health challenges that affect communities here in the UK and around the world.”

Rob Joyce, Director of GRAHAM’s London office, added: “Imperial’s White City Campus is unprecedented in scale, ambition, and commitment, and we’re excited to bring this latest project forward under one construction programme. Once complete, the SPH will bring together research, education, and community engagement under one roof with accommodation designed to support academia at the highest possible level.”

Completion is expected in Spring 2023.
