Developer Godfrey London has gained planning consent to create four new luxury apartments within the top floor of its new £15 million (GDV) 18,000 sqft commercial development on the site of the former Royal Mail sorting office on St George’s Road in Temple Fortune, London N11.

The developer has taken the first floor of the mixed-use building – 4,000 sqft of space - for its new London headquarters, while the ground floor offers another 4,000 sqft of prestige office space and is now available to let.

The top floor of the building will be converted into four premium apartments comprising three 2-bedroom apartments and a spacious 1-bedroom apartment.

Paul Godfrey, Founding Director and CEO of Godfrey London commented: “Buyer trends in the Prime London marketplace have been transformed dramatically due to the challenges of Brexit and COVID-19. Given how drastically we have had to change the way we live and work there will be a lasting influence on what buyers are looking for from a new home. Developments in the future will need to be energy-efficient, sustainable, mixed-use, flexible and well-connected places that promote health and wellbeing to meet buyers’ needs. We want to focus on quality and to concentrate on undertaking one or two projects so that we can completely control the build, specification and delivery of the units. Where we previously did a large collection of smaller projects, we want to do one or two medium-sized schemes and have total control of the delivery process.”

The new planning consent is the latest residential project that Godfrey London has unveiled and the luxury developer is now in discussions over a number of sites in London.

Godfrey London has developed some of Inner London’s most exclusive residential developments. Founder Paul Godrey has worked in prime London property for over 20 years and been involved in the delivery of some 400 new homes.

Godfrey London has just sold their final apartment at 14 Netherhall Gardens in Hampstead, a scheme of 14 new luxury homes comprised of two buildings set in generous landscaped gardens, one being new-build the other conversion, winner of an Evening Standard New Homes Award. Over recent years the developer has successfully completed and sold three further inner London projects at values ranging from £500,000 up to £3 million.
