CBRE has commenced the redevelopment of its UK headquarters at Henrietta House to create a world class workplace experience for staff and visiting clients featuring collaboration space, activity-based working, presentation space and client amenities, on-site wellness facilities, SMART building technology and sustainability solutions.

CBRE has occupied Henrietta House from 2011 and under the terms of a new lease extension to 2036, landlord Lazari Investments has agreed to redevelop and extend Henrietta House, to CBRE’s own specification.

CBRE’s Project Management, Environmental Consultancy and Workplace teams are providing advisory services to the project, with the aim to deliver a WELL Platinum certification for Lazari and CBRE.

Ciaran Bird, Divisional President, Advisory Services, UK & Ireland, commented: “This is a transformational project to create an inspiring and energising workplace which promotes wellbeing, sustainability and productivity. Incorporating the latest thinking in tech and office design, it will allow innovation and collaboration to thrive and will empower our teams to better serve our clients and help us attract and retain the best talent.

Nicholas Lazari, Director of Lazari Investments said: "On completion, Henrietta House will set new standards in office design and deliver an outstanding building bespoke to CBRE’s requirements. As part of this process, we have been pleased to complete our unbroken freehold ownership of the wider block, which now comprises an island site of 2.22 acres, whilst increasing the total floor area to over 350,000 sq ft of commercial space, in addition to 15 residential apartments and 49 car spaces."

Linda Morey-Burrows, Founder and Principal Director at MoreySmith added: "Working closely with both Lazari Investments and CBRE from the outset to realise their vision was a unique opportunity for an inside-out approach to ensure the creation of an exceptional people-focused development. The project involves an extensive re-design of the whole site introducing new spaces through the major extension works. Sustainability and wellness have been at the forefront in both the architecture and internal design specification delivering a first-class innovative workplace.'
