Dominvs Group has completed the next stage of its flagship hotel development in Aldgate.

The former 4-star Arbor City Hotel building from the 1960s has now been fully stripped out and work on the refurbishment and extension has started.

Once completed, the 5-storey hotel will have 278 bedrooms, having recently added 10 more bedrooms in a planning update. It will also have meeting, dining and events space, including a cinema room and large function room.

The design will use a range of brick types, including London Stock Brick, as well as bronze coloured framing on the fenestrations.

The project is due for completion in July 2023, with the construction undertaken by leading contractor McAleer & Rushe.

Jay Ahluwalia, Director of Dominvs Group commented: “We are thrilled with the continued momentum of this project. The fact that we have gone from strength to strength over the past year is a testament to the strength of our core business and relationships with partners.

“This 278 bedroom hotel sits right in the heart of London’s business district and is perfectly poised to welcome visitors back to the City as it recovers. We know this flagship development will add a great asset to the local area and Hilton are the perfect partners for this site. We are excited to be bringing this new generation product to Aldgate and will continue to back developments in key locations like this one.”
