New appointment

Savills has been appointed as the property agent for Burlington Arcade.

The iconic retail destination is currently home to high-end brands such as Manolo Blahnik, Lalique, Strathberry and Thomas Goode.

The Arcade recently celebrated the launch of the latest James Bond film, No Time To Die, with a 007 installation and a series of events taking place throughout the remainder of the year. These are in line with a number of official James Bond partner brands located within Burlington Arcade, such as Crockett and Jones, Globe-Trotter, N.Peal Cashmere, and the newly launched boutiques: OMEGA Watches and Champagne Bollinger 007 Bar.

The appointment comes as the luxury market in London begins to show signs of recovery, with international tourist numbers increasing. While numbers are still far below pre-pandemic levels, Savills estimates that Heathrow Airport welcomed 2.4 million international arrivals in September, the biggest monthly figure since March 2020 and 104 per cent higher than the same period last year.

Oliver Green, Director, Central London Retail at Savills, commented: “The luxury market in London continues to show resilience and we expect it to continue to improve as international travel opens up again. High end brands see the value in having a physical presence in the most prime locations, such as Burlington Arcade, and we look forward to welcoming new names to what is one of London’s most luxurious shopping destinations.”

Savills will be working alongside CBRE.
