Fashion retailer New Look is set to move its London HQ to R7 Kings Cross, reports King’s Cross Central Limited Partnership (KCCLP).

KCCLP has entered into an Agreement for Lease with New Look for approximately 123,000 sq ft over seven floors, as well as a dedicated reception area on the ground floor, within the mixed-use R7. The Duggan Morris-designed building is located on Handyside Street, adjacent to the University of the Arts London, and is due to practically complete in July 2017. In addition to office accommodation, the building features a double-height public space with a three-screen Everyman cinema, and retail and restaurant space at the ground and mezzanine levels.

The international fashion retailer will relocate 800 of its employees to King’s Cross, to work alongside neighbours including Louis Vuitton, Universal Music, Google and Havas.

Speaking about the deal, Will Colthorpe, Partner at Argent, commented:

“We’re delighted New Look will be joining the community of businesses at King’s Cross, bringing its fast-paced approach and knowledge of the business of fashion to the tenant mix.”

Anders Kristiansen, CEO, New Look, said:

“New Look is delighted to have secured this large space in the King’s Cross development for our London base from 2018, as we continue to successfully grow and recruit. We have been impressed with the work done on the site to date by the development partnership and the future plans for the area. This new building demonstrates our confidence in our future expansion plans and will provide a fantastic working environment for our creative and support teams.”

Colliers International acted for New Look and Savills and Cushman & Wakefield acted for KCCLP.
