8 Albert Embankment
05/04/2016 by Buildington

U+I Group announced that they have been selected by the London Fire and Emergency Planning Authority (LFEPA) as their development partner at 8 Albert Embankment.

First constructed in 1937, this Grade II listed was originally the headquarters of the London Fire Brigade before becoming the home to Lambeth fire station. Our plans for the site will take the fire station into the next chapter of its life, completely redesigning the space to create a modern, fit-for-purpose fire station and training yard.

The plans for 8 Albert Embankment, designed by Fred Pilbrow and Partners will also see the London Fire Brigade museum, formerly located in Southwark, reopened with an expanded collection that tells the story of firefighting from the Great Fire of London to present day.
