Stirling Ackroyd has acquired a Shoreditch based Bridge Estates.

The agency in East London specialises in sales, lettings, land, new homes and commercial property. Over time, all of Bridge Estates employees will be integrated into Stirling Ackroyd’s Shoreditch operation and flagship office.

The acquisition comes hot off the heels of Stirling Ackroyd’s purchase of lettings agency Lourdes in Westferry, and My London Home, earlier in the year. Like My London Home, Lourdes will be rebranded to Stirling Ackroyd.

The acquisition of Bridge Estates brings an extremely strong land and new homes team, with over 40 years of experience combined, headed up by Lucy Phipps; as well as a lettings book of just under 200 managed units.

The lettings book of My London Home which was acquired by Stirling Ackroyd in March 2018, will be absorbed into its portfolio and rebranded this Autumn.

Comprising nearly a thousand managed properties, the portfolio spans from Fulham, the Royal Borough through Westminster, Nine Elms, Southbank, Tower Bridge and into Docklands.

The rebranding process is currently underway and will take full effect between the end of October and early November 2018.

Since our acquisition of the business in July 2017, the new management team has put in place robust plans to grow the lettings and commercial divisions, and the absorption and rebranding of the My London Home portfolio plays a key role in this.”

The business is well on the way to tripling its size over the next couple of years. Since the acquisition of the firm by Nick Dunning Associates, it has completed a £500,000 branch refurbishment programme, opened a new office in Dalston, relaunched Stirling Ackroyd New Homes and made its first sizable acquisition, My London Home.

This has been followed by the purchase of Lourdes in Westferry, creating a physical footprint in the Canary Wharf and Docklands area. Various other opportunities are being reviewed with some nearing completion.

As part of its expansion plans, Stirling Ackroyd is also looking at the Nine Elms area of London for new office premises and further opportunities for acquisitions.

To further strengthen the senior management team, Tim Van der Schyff has been appointed as managing director of group lettings at Nick Dunning Associates. Van der Schyff is responsible for overseeing the lettings portfolio of all brands under the company’s umbrella, including Townends Estate Agents and Stirling Ackroyd networks.

He joins from Countrywide plc where he was head of lettings for eight of the firm’s premium brands, overseeing the management and strategic direction of 44 branches in London, Surrey and the Home Counties. He has proven experience of developing and growing property agencies, as well as managing the rebrand of Fitz Gibbon and Faron Sutaria into John D Wood.
