Overview

Hounslow West Tube Station is a development by TfL in partnership with A2Dominion directly next to Hounslow West Underground station in Hounslow, Greater London TW3.

New Homes: The site covers a 1.48-hectare site, where HKR Architects has planned 4 new buildings containing around 348 new affordable homes. The homes will consist of 1, 2, 3 and 4-bedroom properties.

The 100 per cent affordable development by Hounslow West Tube station is being brought forward by A2Dominion, working with Transport for London's commercial property company (TTL Properties).

The 1.5-hectare development will deliver 348 new homes, all of which will be affordable, as well as new commercial space and improvements to the public realm and Tube station.

The types include Shared Ownership and London Affordable Rent, the level of which is set by the Mayor of London and is significantly lower than open market rents, thereby assisting in the provision of low-cost rented homes for low-income households.

Other improvements include a new public square, improved pedestrian routes and public transport interchange, and improved cycle parking via a new purpose-built secure facility. There will also be 950m2 of retail space, which will help the local economy.

Hounslow West Tube Station Building: The Grade II-listed ticket hall is preserved and kept at the centre of the proposals. The new station concourse, which will be built as part of the development, will also allow for improved step-free access via lifts to be provided in the future.
