Overview

Alperton Yard is a new residential-led mixed-use development on the site of the 0.56ha Alperton Bus Garage in Greater London HA0.

Telford Homes is building 306 Build to Rent units in Blocks A and B, 98 units at London Affordable Rent levels and 57 units for Shared Ownership in Block C.

The three blocks at Alperton Yard will be linked at the ground and the first floor by a single building comprising 2,400m2 of light industrial floorspace in addition to a 205m2 unit for community use, a cafe of 64m2, and cycle storage and bin storage.

Alperton Yard will be home to 1,200 residents. First completions in 2025.

History

2021 April - Brent Council approves plans for the redevelopment of the Alperton Bus Garage site (20/3914).

2020 November - Planning application submitted for the demolition of the existing buildings and structures, the erection of a building ranging in height up to 28 storeys, incorporating residential units and industrial, community and commercial uses, together with associated landscaping, access arrangements, car and cycle parking, servicing and refuse and recycling. Planning ref. no. 20/3914.

Site & Location

The existing site comprises Alperton Bus Depot comprising two storey brick buildings with areas of hardstanding, together with a landscaped frontage on the corner of the site between Ealing Road and Bridgewater Road. It is bounded to the northeast by a railway line serving the Piccadilly Line Underground and to the northwest by an electricity substation. Alperton Underground Station is located immediately to the northeast across the railway line, and is a locally listed building.
