Description of The Butterfly
The Butterfly is a planned mixed-use development in the City of London E1.
The new building will comprise ground plus 12 storeys and 3 basement levels providing modern commercial office accommodation. Below ground are basement levels for retail, leisure, cycle parking and plant rooms whilst a shared service area on Goodmans Yard will provide unloading and recycling facilities for both the retail and office accommodation.
The existing Lloyds Chambers building will be demolished.
The Site is bounded by Goodman’s Yard to the south, Mansell Street to the east and Portsoken Street to the north.
2017 - Fosun International acquires the site.

Demolition of existing building and erection of a new building comprising ground plus 12 storeys and 3 basement levels, including Class B1a office use, flexible Class A1/A2 use at the ground floor, and flexible Class A1/A2/A3/D2 use at ground and basement levels associated landscaping works, vehicular access and other works incidental to the development (47,262sq.m GIA).
