Overview

London Dock is a residential-led mixed-use development on 15 acres in Wapping, London E1.

London Dock is a residential mixed-use scheme by St George, with an element of flexible commercial, retail, cultural, school and leisure uses.

Saffron Wharf
18-storey building comprises 251 Manhattan, 1, 2, and 3-bedroom homes. Completions from 2024.

Merino Wharf
185 apartments in a 17-storey 58m building. Set beside Gauging Square and at the beginning of Quayside, the building was launched for sale in Spring 2019. Amenities for residents: Spa, Gym, Swimming, Sauna, Residents' Lounge.

Cashmere Wharf
A 25-storey tower will accommodate Manhattan, one, two and three bedroom apartments. Completions from Q3 2021 - Q2 2022.

Cashmere Wharf building is overlooking the Gauging Square with its great water features.

Clipper Wharf
The first phase of development, which includes 206 private sale apartments, commenced in March 2014 with completions from early 2017.

Times House
A refurbishment project of a former office for News International (The Times, The Sun) will deliver 70 affordable homes managed by Peabody, in the first phase of St George’s London Dock development. 33 social rent homes and 37 affordable rent - 13 x 1-bed, 24 x 2-bed, 22 x 3-bed and 11 x 4-bed. Completion: Autumn 2018.

Car parking: Right to park available for 2 and 3 bedroom apartments only at a cost of £50,000 (2020).

Location
Located in the heart of the capital, just moments from Tower Bridge, the Tower of London, St Katharine Docks and the City, London Dock combines modern city living with riverside wharves and cobbled streets, in one of London's most historic neighbourhoods.

Completion of the entire site expected in 2029.

History

The site was previously occupied by News International and was home to The Times, Sunday Times, The Sun and the News of the World for almost 30 years.

The development included the demolition of all existing buildings on site except for the Pennington Street Warehouse, which is Grade II Listed and the refurbishment of Times House, which sits between Pennington Street and the Highway.

2018 April - Cashmere Wharf launches.
2014 September - official UK launch.
2014 January - planning permission granted by London Borough of Tower Hamlets council.
2012 May - St Geroge acquires London Docks site.
