55 Gresham Street is a commercial development in the City of London EC2.
The scheme comprises remodelling of the existing late 20th century building including above-ground extensions to the front and rear facades, an additional 8th storey and roof structure and internal refurbishment of the central atrium. Mini-pile foundations are proposed to support the proposed extensions. 
2016 January - Planning permission granted for:
Refurbishment and alterations to the building, including demolition of the seventh floor and roof plant; extension of floorplates at ground to sixth floors, replacement of seventh floor, additional eighth floor and pavilion at ninth floor for Class B1 offices; partial change of use from Class A4 to Class B1 at ground and lower ground levels and partial change of use from Class A1 to Class B1 at ground level; infill of existing atrium; creation of ninth floor roof terrace and accessible terraces at seventh floor; new plant at ninth floor level; recladding to exterior elevations and replacement fenestration; provision of new main office entrance on the corner of Gresham Street and Wood Street; alterations to rear service bay area; the provision of lower ground level cycle parking and associated facilities and other incidental works.
