115-119 Camden High Street is a hub by Premier Inn hotel development in Camden, London NW1.
The 80-bedroom hotel is built on the site of the former Sports Direct retail store on the corner of Camden High Street and Delancey Street. The development also includes three social rented homes.
The hotel will be Whitbread’s second hub by Premier Inn hotel in the London Borough of Camden and is expected to employ approximately 35 new team members with recruitment focused in the borough.
The hub by Premier Inn hotel features ‘compact’ bedrooms, enhanced by useful technology such as Smart TV’s and clever lighting, and a through-the-day light touch ‘Lounge’ dining and quality bar offering.
Expected start on site in autumn 2020.
Whitbread is working with development partner Demar Holdings to deliver the hub by Premier Inn on Camden High Street. The hotel was designed by Morris + Company.
Previously in use as Sports Direct store.
2020 January - Planning permission granted for application 2019/3138/P. In 2020, Whitbread operates 10 hub by Premier Inn hotels across London, with a further 6 sites (including Camden High Street), either under construction or in the planning process. The Camden High Street hotel is the first to be designed alongside two social rented residential properties. In 2020 there are just 13 hub by Premier Inn hotels in the UK.
2019 - Planning application submitted for the demolition of existing two-storey building and erection of a part-four, part-five storey building (plus an enlargement of the existing basement and plant room at roof level) comprising retail (Class A1) at ground floor level fronting Camden High Street, 80-bed hotel (Class C1) and 3 x 2-bed residential units (social rented) (Class C3) fronting Delancey Street.
