Deka Immobilien GmbH has bought the Verde office building from Tishman Speyer and the Public Sector Investment Board.

The investment is being made as a joint venture between the WestInvest ImmoValue, a special fund aimed at institutional investors, and the open-ended real estate fund Deka-ImmobilienEuropa. The parties agreed not to disclose the purchase price.

With this transaction, the fund management of WestInvest ImmoValue and Deka-ImmobilienEuropa is securing a high-quality and representative property in an up-and-coming London submarket. The quality of the property, the lease terms and the terms and conditions of the purchase agreement take account of the current discussion about Brexit. The funds are thereby developing towards the strategic target allocation ratio.

PA Consulting has taken sixth and seventh floors (60,000 sq ft) at Verde, reports Colliers International.

Hamish Maule, PA’s Head of Operations, commented: “PA’s business success and resulting growth has required that we secure a new headquarters building. We are pleased to be moving into Verde SW1, where we are creating an exciting space for our people and our clients to work together and to innovate.”

Brookfield Multiplex has been awarded the contract to refurbish Eland House. The refurbished development will named Verde SW1.

Verde SW1 will provide approx. 282,000 sq ft Grade A office space, a dramatic triple height reception and include six large roof gardens offering approx. 20,000 sq ft of outdoor space with panoramic views of Buckingham Palace, the Royal Parks and the West End.

The building will also contain 10 floors of large flexible floor plates and multiple entrances with elevations fronting Warwick Row to the West, Cathedral Walk to the East and Westminster Theatre to the North.
