148 out of 170 flats at Nova have been sold to date and completions are progressing well, reports developer Land Securities.

Nova commercial is now 54% let. The average office lease term 15 years. Land Securities is confident about letting the remaining 283,000 sq ft in the year.

Land Securities has let 22,505 sq ft at Nova to London Executive Offices LEO.

LEO will take the entire ninth floor at Nova South on a 17-year lease. This transaction takes the total scheme (retail and commercial) to 40% let.

Nova South and Nova North together contain 480,000 sq ft of grade A office space.

41% is now pre-let or in solicitors’ hands at Nova with an average office lease term of 15 years.

The first phases have completed and retailer and office occupiers are fitting out.

Since March 2016 Land Securities has sold £14.7m pounds of apartments at Kingsgate and Nova at an average price of £1,900 per sq ft.

Barbecoa, Franco Manca and Daisy Green will be joining Jason Atherton, D&D London and Will Ricker at Nova when it opens in September 2016.

Barbecoa: Jamie Oliver's acclaimed barbecue steakhouse will launch its second site at Nova. The restaurant, which is a celebration of traditional fire-based cooking and incredible ingredients, will boast a large standalone bar, a hidden garden and a stunning dining room, complete with an open kitchen where guests can watch the chefs cooking on the Argentinian and Robata grills.

Franco Manca: The hugely popular mini-chain will be opening a pizzeria in Nova. Franco Manca will bring to Nova its delicious sourdough pizza, which cook in only 60 seconds, alongside carefully chosen ingredients from sustainable producers. The Nova branch of Franco Manca will also offer delicious wine from Italian organic vineyards, an open kitchen and over 90 covers.

Daisy Green: The team behind Daisy Green will bring a new all-day offering to Nova. By day the restaurant will offer Londoners speciality coffee, big bold salads and meats alongside a bottomless Aussie brunch. In the evening the restaurant will create imaginative small plates and cheese, together with specialised wines, cocktails and local craft beers.

Egon Zehnder has taken 24,000 sq ft for the new UK head office at Nova, Victoria, marking the scheme’s second office letting 10 months ahead of completion.

Egon Zehnder is one of the world’s premier global executive search and talent advisory firms. It will move its entire UK headquarters to the 14th and 15th floors at Nova South on a 15 year lease at the beginning of 2017.

Nova South and Nova North will deliver 480,000 sq ft of grade A office space to the landmark site opposite Victoria station when it completes in July 2016. Land Securities has secured a first office pre-let at Nova, Victoria, 12 months ahead of completion.

The transaction will see global private equity investor Advent International (“Advent”) take more than 25,000 sq ft at Nova South on a 15 year lease.

Set on a 5.5 acre site opposite the station, the first phase of the mixed use Nova scheme will deliver 480,000 sq ft of grade A office space through two distinct and architecturally daring buildings – Nova North and Nova South – together with 170 high quality apartments and a significant restaurant offer set amongst new public realm.

18 new eateries are set to open in Nova, Victoria, next year, creating London’s newest and most inviting restaurant quarter. Today, seven of these dining operators are announced as the development continues to take shape in SW1.

Nova, Victoria is an architecturally striking development that will create a vibrant new link between Victoria Station and Buckingham Palace, which in turn leads onto the Royal Parks. The 897,000 sq ft destination will house world-class office space, high quality apartments and a cluster of inventive and exciting restaurants, eateries, bars and rotating dining experiences.

The 7 operators now confirmed to be opening at Nova, Victoria are:

Jason Atherton will add to his growing portfolio of iconic dining destinations that include Pollen Street Social and Berners Tavern, with the opening of an Italian dining concept at Nova. The restaurant will feature a pasta room where diners will be able to see the food being made.

Adam White, co-founder and managing director of renowned brasserie The Riding House Café – whose London based restaurant collective Village London also includes Village East and The Garrison – will develop a unit with a view to opening an all-day offering. The space will offer 150 covers, with a sizeable outside seating area, an upstairs bar and a private dining room. Interior design will be by Adam White in Conjunction with Lou Davies of Box 9.

Will Ricker who has enjoyed great success with his Pan-Asian restaurants and more recently his Mexican brand La Bodega Negra, both here and New York, is bringing his two latest concepts to Nova. The Stoke House is an American BBQ that uses a cooking method of wood burning pits, on cuts of brisket, ribs, chicken and pulled pork, set in a contemporary bustling dining hall. Directly across from the Stoke House, will be the Juice Well, Ricker’s second organic cold press juice, super food smoothie and highly nutrient dense food store.

Having recently overseen the successful re-launch of Quaglino’s, D&D London – the restaurant group behind favourites such as Bluebird and Skylon – will open a 10,000 sq ft restaurant on two floors of Nova South, comprising a café, bar, outdoor terrace and food retail on the ground floor, together with a restaurant on the first floor. The interior is to be designed by Russell Sage Studio.

Sourced Market, which opened the first produce market in a train station in St Pancras in 2009, opens its third site at Nova in 2016. Working with the best of Britain's small, artisan producers the team will bring their blend of market retail and all-day dining to Victoria, offering everything from artisan coffee to craft beer and charcuterie to croissants.

Ross Shonhan, chef-proprietor of Bone Daddies in Soho and Kensington, Flesh & Buns in Covent Garden and – most recently – Shackfuyu in Soho, is bringing his Ramen Bar to Nova. Alongside some of Shonhan’s signature ramen and filled buns, Bone Daddies will be introducing a contemporary take on Osaka-style Okonomiyaki in a restaurant spread across 2 floors and a sizeable outdoor space.

So sad that with two developments over some years now in that section of Buckingham Palace Road we have lost some beautiful or interesting historic buildings. I grew up at 36 in the 1970s and 1980s. I remember The Venue and the Kings Arms. Shame nobody can build something now that is other than a bland structure to house bland shops and offices.

Construction of Nova, Victoria starts this month. The 727,000 sq ft first phase, comprising 480,000 sq ft offices, 80,000 sq ft retail and 170 apartments across three buildings within a new pedestrianized, landscaped public quarter is due for completion second quarter of 2016.

Nova directly benefits both London and Victoria’s economies. 857 jobs are expected to be created during demolition and construction and this workforce is estimated to spend £500,000 per annum locally whilst on site. When completed and operational, Nova, Victoria will create 5,181 jobs. 73% of these are expected to be local contributing an additional £3 million per year to the Victoria economy. Nova delivers 18.6% of the London Plan’s new homes annual target for Westminster. Nova’s residents will create a net benefit of £4.2 million per year to the London economy

Mace has been appointed as main contractor to deliver the 727,000 sq ft first phase of the Victoria Circle scheme, as part of the continued transformation of Victoria.

The £380 million contract is the result of almost two years project preconstruction advice alongside the delivery of utility diversions, enabling works and appointment as CDM Co-ordinator.

Construction is due to start in June and will take place over the next four years. The first phase offers 480,000 sq ft of efficient, high quality office accommodation, 80,000 sq ft of retail/restaurant space and 170 luxury modern apartments within three architecturally striking buildings, at the heart of a new, pedestrianized, landscaped public quarter.

Mace has a long-standing relationship with Land Securities Group PLC and experience in working within the company’s property portfolio across London, which include design and build contracts for developments at 123 Victoria Street and Park House on Oxford Street.

Land Securities and its joint venture partner Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB) have confirmed the commencement of the £768 million first phase of its Victoria Circle project, as part of the continued transformation of Victoria, in London’s West End. The 50:50 joint venture was previously announced in February 2012.

The first phase, which totals 727,000 sq ft, offers 480,000 sq ft of efficient, high quality office accommodation, 80,000 sq ft of exciting retail/restaurant space and 170 luxury modern apartments within three architecturally striking buildings, at the heart of a new pedestrianized, landscaped public quarter.

The comprehensive development of this 5.5 acre site directly opposite Victoria station will see the area change from being a central thoroughfare to an unparalleled destination in which to work, live and play.

When complete, Victoria Circle will crown the recent re-invention of Victoria, which is already home to businesses such as Channel 4, Microsoft and the Telegraph Media Group as well as high-fashion names such as Jimmy Choo, Tom Ford and Burberry.

Demolition started on the Victoria Circle site in October last year. Mace has been appointed the main contractor and construction is due to start in June 2013 with completion due in the second quarter of 2016.
