Description of Twenty Grosvenor Square

Twenty Grosvenor Square is a development in Mayfair, London W1.

The building is being transformed into a collection of residences. Two storeys are added to the building. The Providence Court frontage and part of the building behind it is demolished and rebuilt.

Amenities will include a 25-metre pool, a gym and a cinema.

Located on the western corner at the end of the buildings that make up the continuous north side of Grosvenor Square where it joins North Audley Street. To the north it faces Providence Court and it therefore has three street frontages. The fourth side of the building forms a rear elevation to an internal courtyard shared with two neighbouring residential buildings at 18 Grosvenor Square and 18 Providence Court.

The original building was erected as residential apartments in the 1930s but was then occupied as administration offices by the US Navy during the Second World War and remained in that use (Class B1) until late 2007, since then it was vacant until the development started.
