Overview

The William, formerly known as Queensway Parade, is a £300m mixed-use development opposite the Grade II listed The Whiteley London in Bayswater, London W2.

Designed by Foster + Partners architects, the new building will provide 90,000 sq ft of Grade A office space over six floors along with 21,000 sq ft of shops and 32 residences, 11 of which will be affordable.

The new homes will be a mixture of studio, one, two, three and four-bed apartments, with affordable housing being provided on site.

The building will be built entirely of cross-laminated timber.

The two existing buildings contain offices and retail premises on the ground floor with 27 flats above.

The development has been named after William Whiteley, the founder of The Whiteley's department store.
