Overview
Ilona Rose House is a mixed-use building, a redevelopment of the old Foyle’s Bookshop site on Charing Cross Road in Soho, London W1.
The scheme comprises basements, a ground floor and part eight upper storeys plus a rooftop plant with frontages to Charing Cross Road and Manette Street.
The buildings contain offices, retail, restaurants, an art gallery/art education use, a nightclub and eight apartments.
There is a new public realm and pedestrian route through the site from Manette Street to Greek Street.
The Grade II listed 14 Greek Street will be fully restored. It will act as a stand-alone building at the entrance to the scheme.
Portland House at 12-13 Greek Streetwas rebuilt with the facade retained. The building now contains eight apartments.

2019 - Sir Robert McAlpine takes over as Principle Contractor from Cantillon for Ilona Rose House in 2019.
2017 April - work starts on site.
2016 August - planning permission granted
2015 December - planning application submitted ref. no. 15/11234/FULL. Demolition: Cantillon, Planning Consultant: Gerald Eve, Communications: Comm Comm UK.
