The team at 21 Moorfields recently celebrated reaching the highest point of construction with a topping out ceremony, reports architect WilkinsonEyre.

The 17-storey building above Crossrail ticket hall at Moorgate Station will be the new 564,000 sq ft headquarters for Deutsche Bank.

Bagpipe music marked the start of the “topping out” ceremony, which was held on the 13th floor of the building before an evergreen bough was secured to the scaffolding by the main contractor Sir Robert McAlpine.

WilkinsonEyre has worked on the scheme for almost 10 years. The building will reach practical completion in Q4 2022.
