One of the oldest homes in Westminster, a Grade II listed 9 Old Queen Street, is for sale for £3,750,000 through Dexters.

The 5-storey 2,575 sq ft four-bedroom house was once home to Richard Savage (1660-1712), Lord Colchester and eventually Constable of the Tower of London.

The building comprises five floors, from the basement to the third, and the reception, dining room, and kitchen are all connected by a hallway on the ground floor.

The reception area on the ground floor has a large picture frame window with white wooden shutters to block the street view, which lets in a lot of natural light. The large pen fireplace and mantelpiece, which are ideal for displaying prized possessions and family photos, are the room's focal points.

The dining room, which is accessed through an archway in the reception room, has the impression of being almost open-plan. It is ideal for hosting dinner parties or drinks with friends where guests can easily move between rooms.

A skylight lets in a lot of light from the dining room into the kitchen, giving the ground floor a more contemporary vibe than the cream tiles and contrasting dark brown and cream cabinets with integrated appliances.

A second reception room with three large sash windows and floor-to-ceiling cream drapes can be found on the property's first floor. Additionally, this reception area has an open fireplace.

One of the four bedrooms and a shower-equipped bathroom can be accessed from this reception area.

Both the second and third floors have big bedrooms and en suite bathrooms with walk-in showers, freestanding tubs, and two sinks.

There are two rooms on the basement level that can be used as a media room or snug, a bedroom, a bedroom at the back of the house, or a third reception room or study.

The nearest underground stations are St James’ Park and Westminster Underground Station are just a four-minute walk away.
