Silicon Valley Bank (SVB), the leading financial institution catering to the world's most innovative businesses and their investors, has made a significant move to bolster its UK operations by relocating to new offices at the Alphabeta Building on Finsbury Square EC2.

The United Kingdom's tech industry witnessed phenomenal growth in 2015, with venture capital (VC) investment soaring to an all-time high, a surge in innovation-driven enterprises setting up shop in the country, and introducing the Tech Nation Visa Scheme.

SVB's UK Branch commenced operations in 2012 and has been on an impressive growth trajectory. With over $1 billion in loans outstanding and a clientele base of more than 1,200 UK-based businesses, SVB's UK Branch is well-positioned to support the industry's sustained expansion.

To further strengthen its presence in the UK, SVB's UK Branch plans to increase its workforce by over a third in 2016, recruiting up to 50 additional members of staff. SVB works closely with pioneering enterprises in various industries, including The Foundry, Made.com, Farfetch, Property Partner, and Mimecast, to stimulate their growth and foster innovation.
