Charting progress at W1 Place

25/05/2023 by Buildington

We've recently taken new photos of the progress on site at W1 Place, and it's thrilling to see the building progressing nicely.

If everything goes as planned, we can expect this architectural gem to reach practical completion early next year. The main contractor Make One Group has been on site since 2022, meticulously bringing E8 Architecture's vision to life.

Once completed, W1 Place will blend beautifully with the stone-clad neighbouring buildings on Great Portland Street. The penthouse apartments, clad in gunmetal-coloured cast metal panels, pay tribute to the roofs of nearby buildings, tying W1 Place to its historical surroundings while adding a contemporary touch.

A distinctive feature of W1 Place's architecture is the balconies and spandrel panels to bay windows, which carry an intricate pattern inspired by Japanese porcelain cracked glaze vases. This tribute brings a subtle nod to the glazed ceramic buildings in the area, notably Great Portland Street Station and the Langham Court Hotel.

Available through Savills, this stunning development comprises a boutique collection of 37 one, two, and three-bedroom luxury residences. Prices range from £1,515,000 to £6,595,000, offering a home for every lifestyle and budget.

As we look forward to the building's completion next year, stay tuned for more updates.
