Duke Street Apartments
07/05/2013 by Buildington

Grosvenor has launched 16 apartments – named 65 Duke Street - to the central London rental market, following the success last year of 62 Green Street.

The apartments are located on the attractive thoroughfare of Duke Street in North Mayfair which stretches from the gardens of Grosvenor Square to the shops of Oxford Street. Duke Street provides a mixture of local restaurants, cafes and amenities which will be complemented by Grosvenor’s neighbouring public realm works including the restoration of Brown Hart Gardens, which will offer a café, garden and pavilion area. Residents will also be only a short walk away from Balderton Street where the first hotel run by Rex Restaurant Associates’ partners Chris Corbin and Jeremy King – the Beaumont - is expected to launch in 2014.

The thoughtfully designed apartments carefully combine historic features including attractive red brick façade with leaded casement windows, with contemporary interiors. Duke Street will offer two design pallets, Classic and Contemporary, allowing residents a greater choice than is usually on offer in the rental market. Unique for property in Mayfair, rental or otherwise, is that a number of the apartments feature private outdoor terraces.

Commenting on the development, Will Bax, Director for Mayfair at Grosvenor said: “Following the success of our rental scheme at 62 Green Street, we recognize there’s demand for thoughtfully designed highly specified rental properties from a professional landlord and suitable for a contemporary lifestyle. 65 Duke Street is testament to our exacting standards and our commitment to offer our customers a variety of rental product in Mayfair. Keeping these properties within the portfolio also highlights our emphasis on place making and ensuring the sustainability of the communities that we are proud to steward.”
