70 Mark Lane

Mitsui Fudosan has secured another major letting for 70 Mark Lane development, taking the total pre-let of the building to over 90% with two months until completion.

Global insurance company Zurich has signed a 15-year lease agreement to take 68,170 sq ft of prime office space and will occupy the building's 7th to 12th floors. Zurich becomes a major tenant of the building from March 2015, alongside Miller Insurance Services who signed up for 85,000 sq ft on the first six floors in October 2012.

Only the top 3 floors of the 16-storey building, which benefit from enclosed terraced winter gardens under a dramatic glass roof and magnificent views over the City skyline, now remain to be let.

70 Mark Lane, which sits adjacent to Fenchurch Street station at the heart of London's insurance district, is Mitsui Fudosan's 3rd project with development partner Stanhope. The island site, which is on schedule for completion in December 2014, comprises 170,000 sq ft of Grade A office accommodation and four retail units on the ground floor. Designed by architects Bennetts Associates, the scheme has achieved a BREEAM 'Excellent' rating.
