Thirty2

Two buildings are being demolished to clear a site in Hampstead to make way for a Thirty2.

The buildings occupying the site at 32 Lawn Road were a former car park, which most recently housed several commercial units and undercroft parking, and a former laundrette, which was most recently used as a community centre.

Demolition of both buildings began at the start of August to clear the site for a development of 1, 2 and 3-bedroom apartments which will be built by Enfield-based Fairview New Homes.

During consultation carried out as part of Fairview’s application for planning permission, many consultees said they were keen to see the old buildings on the site removed and replaced.

Fairview bought the site for development from Camden Council in March last year after the local authority deemed it surplus to requirements.

Jim Holliday, Sales and Marketing Director for Fairview, said: “Work is now underway at Lawn Road, with demolition clearing the site so construction of our new development can begin.

“The development will be named Thirty2 and will comprise 72 quality new apartments in total. As one of our Prestige developments, the apartments will be built to a high-quality specification.

“Thirty2 will transform this site and will also bring £867,404 in contributions to the local area through a Section 106 planning agreement, which will fund highway improvements, community facilities, healthcare, education and public open space.”
