Demolition of the buildings at 32 Lawn Road is now complete, reports Fairview New Homes.

Thirty2 will echo features of the nearby Isokon Building on Lawn Road with some of its design features.

Thirty2 will have a sleek, curved design, the use of light-coloured materials on the exterior of the building and the use of bronze colour for windows, doors, panelling and other interior features.

Jim Holliday, Sales and Marketing Director for Fairview, said: “We’re delighted to be building in Lawn Road and, now that demolition is complete, clearance of the site will take place ready for construction of our scheme to begin.

“Hampstead is a wonderful area and we believe that Thirty2 will bring a building of distinctive character with considerable aesthetic and architectural merit to the area.
“As we refine our development plans for any site, we are always mindful to create a scheme which reflects the existing local vernacular.

“In this case, as this unique and noteworthy building is right on our site’s doorstep, we felt that it presented us with an ideal opportunity to create a development which brings modern new homes to the area while celebrating and paying homage to its past.

“We look forward to making further progress on site in the weeks ahead.”

The buildings demolished were a former car park building most recently used as commercial units with undercroft car parking, as well as a former launderette which was most recently used as a community centre.

A selection of 1, 2 and 3-bedroom apartments will be built at Thirty2, with the first homes set to be released for sale in mid to late 2016.
