London developer attracts renters with connected home appliances

Leading London property developer Quintain has just announced it will provide connected home appliances to all its future TIPI rental apartments at Wembley Park development in London HA9.

There are quite a few smart home system providers in London that can automate the whole apartment building, such as Siemens KNX or KIUTO, but so far this is the largest connected appliance deal in a new build-to-rent London development.

In the near future, everything in the new homes can be controlled from a mobile device – from heating to locks and lighting. Take for example Airbnb owners, who are finding it hard to manage without automated doors. Time is wasted meeting with tenants, cleaners and other workmen just to give the keys when you could do it with just a few clicks from wherever you are.

Tipi apartments with cutting-edge appliances will no doubt now be much more attractive to London renters.

The new TIPI homes will include the following:
– ‘Family Hub’ fridges, which have built-in cameras allowing residents to see exactly what is inside their fridge, and track the freshness of food items. With a connected fridge, residents can order groceries directly from the panel on the fridge door, surf the web or play music from the appliance while they cook.
– Smart ovens, hobs, dishwashers and washer dryers.
