The £28m residential development Park Heights in Stockwell has reached completion as Wates Living Space Homes handed over the keys to Network Homes last week.

Park Heights, which forms part of the ambitious Stockwell Park regeneration programme, comprises 159 high quality apartments available for affordable rent and private sale.

Designed by PRP, the new development has seen the demolition of a former 1960s residential block to make way for a brand new tenure-blind 20-storey apartment building, complete with a double-height entrance lobby.

Each apartment also comes complete with its own balcony and access to communal roof gardens, in addition to access to a 24-hour concierge service.

Completion of the flagship development also marks the conclusion of an extensive community investment programme by Wates Living Space Homes and Network Homes.

Utilising the project to create training and employment opportunities for local people has seen the team appoint six project apprentices, create four work experience placements and engage with 300 Stockwell students as part of a local careers fair.

Wates Living Space Homes also carried out its national ‘Building Futures’ programme, an intensive two week training course for 14 local jobseekers, which culminated in opportunities for long-term employment with Wates and its supply chain partners.

Vicky Savage, Executive Director of Development at Network Homes, said: “Wates has delivered a fantastic build which exceeds expectations. A strong relationship has been established, which we hope to carry forward into many new joint projects.”
